Are you discouraged because you have been diagnosed with an illness and you are worried about how you will pay the medical bills? Are you discouraged by the loss of a close relationship?

Dear Young Ladies and Young Men,
I know that we are living in ugly and difficult times, but in every generation before this one, ugly and vile things happened. Our ancestors did not give up and did not give in. Our ancestors fought the good fight of faith.
Despite what you hear, see, or feel please draw a line in the sand and determine that you will not go backward, but FORWARD.
Stay positive and keep fighting the good fight of faith!
I know that our world seems to be getting crazier and crazier everyday. Despite the issues in our world you all still manage to get up everyday and participate in activities, attend school, spend time with family and friends, and pursue your goals.
Simply put, you are living in a highly advanced period of time in our history, but you are also faced with the moral decline of our society. I just wanted to say, “I APPLAUD YOUR BRAVERY!” Please continue to stay the course and discover the purpose for your life. Do NOT allow any circumstance to deter you from your goals and dreams.
Please leave a comment and share with other young people about how you manage your daily issues.
Have you noticed that in our culture today, we are often moving so quickly and doing so much that we forget how to live life step by step?
Have you had a dream or a passion that you cannot get out of your head, but you find yourself skipping steps and failing at your goal?
Do you ever wonder why things are not working out the way you want or planned them to?
I think about all of these things. Even as I write this blog, I realize that sometimes anxiousness hinders our plans. For example, I met a young lady who could not read or write. She said, “I’m gonna write my story one day for the whole world to read!” I said to her, “You have a great goal, so what do you think you need to do first?” She said, “Start writing!” I said, “No, learn to read and write. Take foundational courses online or simply go to the library everyday, join a community literacy program that is free, and learn to be the best reader and writer that you can be.” She looked stunned. I could tell that no one had given her advice like mine before and that is when I reminded her that life happens in the steps of life and NOT in the leaps. Sometimes we want things so badly that we fail to sit down and think logically about what we need to do in order to make our dreams/goals into realities.

Hey TVI:JWJ Readers,
I know that the current political climate in our country is intense. I know that America is facing an economic meltdown, and our way of life is being threatened on every hand, but please be encouraged. Problems will always come, but they will always be remedied. Your life is worth living, you are valuable, and you have purpose, so do NOT let anyone or any of your situations tell you anything different. I just felt that someone needed to hear this today, so I followed my inner voice and composed this blog. Stay strong!
I like to go on nature walks and take photos. When I was a kid, my Mom and I would walk and she would allow me to collect leaves and rocks. Once we got home, my Mom would help me identify what kind of flowers and rocks I had collected.
Today, nature walks help me to relax my mind. The other day, I had a lot on my mind and I took the above photo. As I was taking the photo I thought to myself, “Sometimes when life gets rough, you just need to change your perspective.”
Leave a comment and tell me what you like to do in your spare time to relax and decompress.
