Would you set yourself or your children on fire?
Hopefully, the answer to this question is a resounding, “No.”
So, if you would not cover yourself with gasoline and set yourself or your children on fire, then why would you feed yourself or your children food that has been sprayed and doused in lighter fluid? YES, I said lighter fluid! TBHQ, also known as Tertiary-butyl hydroquinone, is a byproduct of petroleum and it is used to preserve food. TBHQ is found on Mc Donald’s nuggets and fries. TBHQ is also found on many of the foods that are sold at Walmart. If you look on the label beside TBHQ, you may see the words, “To Protect Flavor.” I don’t know about you, but I do not want someone to dip my food in gasoline, cook it, and serve it to me. Do you? Let us open our eyes and close our mouths to the toxic food products that are fed to us and eventually cause us illness, disease, and over time could cause death. Below is a short list of foods that have TBHQ in and on them.
- Chicken nuggets from McDonalds
- Microwave popcorn (various brands)
- Beans and some shells (from Taco Bell)
- Crackers (CHEEZ-it and other brands)
- Cooking spray (i.e. Pam)
- Crackers (Keebler brand and other products)
- Cookies (Teddy Grahams and other brands)
- Frozen pizza (Red Baron)
- Little Debbie (dessert cakes)
- Ramen noodles
- Frozen fish (Gorton’s brand)
- And a host of other products for the skin, hair, and body
After seeing this list, are you probably wondering how this toxic chemical preservative could affect your health. Well, some say it could cause the following issues:
- DNA degeneration
- Body Rash
- Swollen lymph nodes
- Mental Issues
