If you answered yes to these question, please develop a relationship with God. Contrary to popular belief God did not cause these tragedies and He is concerned about us and he loves us. God wants the best for us.
We have to learn that we cannot put our faith and hope in people, our jobs, or anything. We have to reserve our hope spot for God. He is the only one who never disappoints and always comes through when you need Him.
Please do not allow life to steal the hope out of your heart. You do have a purpose and God can help you to discover it.

First off, I would like to congratulate Kanye and Kim on the birth of their daughter North West.
Shortly after the couple announced their daughter’s name everyone was talking about the baby’s name. I received several calls from some people who thought that the name was ridiculous, weird, or not feminine enough.
After listening to many of my friends rant their disgust and disappointment I thought about Kanye. Having been a fan of his song “Jesus Walks” and his unorthodox methods, I think I figured it out. Figured out what? I think I figured out why Kanye named his daughter North West.
As a Dad, it will be Kanye’s job to give his daughter a sense of identity and direction throughout her life. I think that he is fulfilling his job as a Dad by giving his daughter a sense of direction in her name.
So I say, “Good job Kanye and Kim!” Kanye continue to be a good Dad to a daughter who will look to you for advice, direction, and identity. Giving your daughter a name that also signals direction is brilliant.

I find myself asking that question at least once a week. I am constantly re-adjusting my life to fit the path that God has ordained for my life.
What does that mean? Well, I have let go of “friends” and moved away from certain family members in order to stay focused on the goals and desires that burn passionately in my soul.
So, what do you do when you are asking yourself, where do you go from here?

I have lost 11 pounds in 25 days with no exercise. Due to a few unfortunate injuries I have been unable to exercise, but I still managed to lose weight.
What does this mean? It means that cutting sugar from my diet has made a huge difference in my weight-loss. As mentioned in previous blogs, I am not eating more than 1/2 cup or 100 grams of sugar or carbohydrates (i.e. bread and potatoes) per day.
Some people have asked me how I feel while cutting sugar out of my diet. I feel great! My body has eaten up the excess fat around my stomach. Amazing, right? It really does work!

So it’s official! I have lost 7 pounds in 19 days with no exercise. It really does work!

Why did I choose to cut sugar out of my diet? Because I noticed subtle changes in my body when I ate refined sugar. For me the undesired changes that I noticed in my body were: moodiness, headaches, and body swelling.
I decided that I will not die from chronic diseases like high blood pressure and diabetes that exist heavily in my family. I am motivated to stick to the lifestyle changes that I have adopted since turning 40 years old earlier this year.
So, you are probably wondering how I got through the sugar cravings. I must admit that it took about 72 hours to get the sugar monkey off my back, so the first 3 days were the worst. Since that point, I feel satisfied by eating my favorite fruits, grains, and seeds.
I am taking it one day at a time and this approach really seems to work for me.

I was watching my favorite speaker a few week ago. Her name is Joyce Meyer. Joyce was speaking and she said, “How are you going to do the Will of God and you can’t get the victory over a cupcake?” Her statement stopped me in my tracks like a deer in the headlights. Then, I just burst into laughter. At that moment I really needed to hear that. I consider my relationship with God to be primo important, so when she made that statement it put my life and God’s purpose for my life into perspective. Thanks Joyce for waking me up!
For me, sugar is poison. It is my goal to slay the sugar demon that I have allowed to dominate my life since I was a child. When I eat processed sugar, I feel sluggish, tired, off my game, and I retain all kinds of water throughout my body.
My goal for my current weight loss journey is to keep my consumption of carbohydrates or sugars under 100 grams per day. Simply put, I will NOT eat more than 100 grams of sugar per day.
So you may be thinking, how much is 100 grams of sugar? 100 grams of sugar is equal to a half (1/2) cup.
Do you think that you could cut your sugar or carbohydrate consumption down to 1/2 cup for a day or a week? If so, join me and let me know how you are doing on this challenge. Leave a comment if you join the challenge and let’s encourage one another. If you don’t join the challenge, leave a comment and encourage me (big smile).
